Art Events Caravan

I hope after this journey I will understand people a little better.

IC Putincanin will hold a series of interactive exhibitions with her paintings and the IC Yourselfie Collection. During these events, IC Putincanin collects snapshots of different individuals in every city she visits. The goal is to reveal new and different perspectives of “the selfie” to the visitors and to discover socio-demographic differences in the understanding of this very personal search for the idealistic self-presentation.

INSTANT EMOTION

Rembrandt and Vincent van Gogh would possibly post selfies today.

The influence of photography in portrait painting is often directly recognizable, but when a painter uses a photo of someone to paint a portrait, the reactions are still negative. IC Putincanin openly admits, that the icyourselfies are the basis for her portraits. Deliberately she provokes thoughts by playing with the juxtaposition: short-breathed selfie and a long lasting-painting. For her, both her selfies and paintings are reflections of our time, they go together but yet are separate and different.

Collecting eastern and western icyourselfies, selfies of young and old and having fun.

The locations for the five icyourselfie events are selected to attract different audiences. Accordingly, all IC events will be different in each city. The Art Events Caravan started in the ***** star resort Porto Montenegro. The paintings and the icyourselfies were exhibited in the Naval Heritage Museum. In the garden of the museum, the old Yugoslav army submarine provided the perfect setting for the performance and the party.
